Prior to and during lockdown the area was destroyed by wildboar and the team of mowers were ready to quit but nevertheless after lockdown the team was back with new volunteers wishing to get involved. The strange thing  so we're the wild flowers in abundance. A  Forestry England survey suggested 80 different species in the area and was recognised by them as an area of  special interest. The mowing  had stopped  in certain areas and the decision was taken  that the  friends  should  help to maintain what is now the wild flower meadow.

Friends of Pan Tod is an entirely voluntary community organisation  and always on the look out  for organisers of events, mowing, strimming, volunteers (to take part in the rota once or twice a month ) and general maintenance of equipment.
